Clashes erupted during an illegal encroachment removal drive near Faiz-e-Ilahi Mosque at Delhi’s Turkmen Gate. Locals allegedly pelted stones at police, forcing security forces to use tear gas and mild lathi charge. Several policemen were injured and five people were detained. Police say more than 100 CCTV footages are being examined and FIR has been registered. Political reactions have also started, with BJP and Congress leaders commenting on the incident.
