MiG-21 Retirement Ceremony: Celebrating Six Decades of Valor

Chandigarh: The Indian Air Force held a solemn retirement ceremony at the Chandigarh Air Force Station to mark the end of service for the legendary MiG-21 fighter jets. After more than six decades of dedicated service, these aircraft, often called the backbone of India’s air defense, were officially retired. As part of the event, several MiG-21 jets were displayed at the airbase, highlighting their historic role in strengthening India’s aerial combat capabilities. The ceremony paid tribute to the pilots and personnel associated with the MiG-21 fleet and celebrated its long-standing legacy in the Indian Air Force.
