Patna, Bihar: Reacting to the Bharat Tiwari encounter case, Bihar Minister Ashok Choudhary has called for strict action against the SDPO and the station in-charge involved in the incident.
Speaking on the matter, the minister said that taking strict action is justified and aligns with public sentiment. He raised serious questions over the circumstances of the encounter, asking why Bharat Tiwari was killed if he had already surrendered.
Choudhary emphasized that proper procedure should have been followed, including taking the accused into custody, conducting a medical examination, and ensuring appropriate treatment if he was mentally unwell. He noted that all such systems are already in place and should have been utilized.
The statement adds to the growing scrutiny surrounding the encounter, with increasing demands for accountability and a fair investigation into the case.
